How Rainstorm Destroyed Houses In Eripa
About 22 houses got their roofs blown off by a storm during a downpour which occurred on Sunday in Eripa, Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun State which left some residents a tale of woes.
CityMirrorNews gathered that the rainstorm which started aroud 6:00pm lasted for about an hour.
A part of the central mosque, 20 houses were destroyed by the rainstorm.
Speaking with newsmen, the Public Relations Officer of the town, Mr Lawal Lukuman said the rain which was characterized by heavy wind destroyed many houses seeking the support of the Osun state government to rebuild some affected buildings and area in the town.
“It was not a good experience watching the way the rain destroying property in that manner. It is only the grace of God that even minimised it. It could have been worse. But we thank God, the maker of rain. We asked for shower of blessing and we believe He will not forsake us in this circumstance,” he said.
“We appeal to the state government and local government to come to our rescue to rebuild the affected places.’’
’Some of the owners of the houses cannot afford to buy nails or roofing sheet let a lone buy materials to renovate the weak structures.”
