Osun Assembly Calls For Land Use Compliance
Assembly Osun state House of Assembly has called for due compliance to Land Use Charge Law 2015.
The Chairman, House Committee on Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Nurayn Adebisi made the call during a meeting with officials of Ministry of Finance and Consultants engaged for the operation of Land Use Charge.
Mr. Adebisi frowned at the low revenue generated between 2015 and 2017 which he said does not commensurate with the expected revenue to be generated from land use charge.
The Committee Chairman, who stressed the need for critical review of engaging Consultants advocate strict adherence to Public Procurement law.
He directed the Ministry of Finance and the Consultants to collaborate with Osun Internal Revenue Service on harmonising revenue collection.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Adebimpe Ogunlumade assured the House of implementation of revenue generation through Land Use charge in line with the law guiding it.
