Group Warns Buhari To Stop Using Tinubu, Akande His Last Resort Whenever In Political Problem

The Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, AGF, has condemned in strong terms the attitude of President Mohammodu Buhari of taking the true Yoruba leaders; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Baba Bisi Akande as last resort whenever he is having a political problems.

The group also called on Mr. Femi, Adesina, one of the President spokesmen to advice him accordingly.

In a statement released in Osogbo by  the National Publicity Secretary of the Foundation, Comrade Adeboye Adebayo, the group berated President Buhari for taking it as an attitude to be consulting the national political leaders of Yoruba extraction when he is having avoidable political problems.

The group said that Asiwaju Tinubu and Baba Bisi Akande are better materials for the position of the President if not for the imbalance and unjustified structure the country find itself.
AGF said it detest the attitude of President Buhari to think that these two fathers of Yoruba nation and National political leaders could be using as tools in his hands for political reasons.

When we hear that our Principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Chief Bisi Akande are in a meeting with President Buhari  and since the meeting was coming up few hours after the release of Obasanjo’s statement, we hold that President Buhari has not desisted from the attitude of the thought that he can be using our own leaders as political tools” Adebayo said.

Adeboye expressed disappointment in the attitude of President Buhari for taking for granted very many worthy advises from these National Political leaders who are also materials for the office of the President.

“Our Foundation is highly disappointed in President Buhari for thinking that he can be using our leaders as political tools in his hands, these are the leaders that supported him to become President and all you could do in paying them back is to use the people they helped to power to bring them down politically.
“These are people that had offered useful governance advises both privately and publicly for the growth of the country but the President has ignored, these are the people that had offered and donated trusted hands to governance at the level of Ministers and head of parasatals but the President rejected and because Obasanjo wrote a statement, he now invited them for a meeting, is it to neutralise Obasanjo’s influence in the politity because they are from the same region of the Country or to seek their advice on the issues raised?
“Whatever is it, we reject it outrightly and call on President Buhari to accord our leaders the deserved respect as we cannot take it anymore as a region to think he can be using them as political tool, that is the way we see it” Adebayo reiterated.

They therefore called Adesina who is from Osun and Yoruba extraction to always displayed boldness and advise his boss as Mr Segun Adeniyi always did in the days of Late Umar Musa Yaradua so that his place in the history of Yoruba nation will not be eroded.
