By Rafiu Agboola
Osun Positive Force (OPF), has congratulated the former Commissioner for Regional Integration & Special Duties in Osun State, Dr Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, on his conferment of Doctorate degree in Law by the University of Lagos.
In a congratulatory message signed by the group’s media director, Yinka Diamond, the group said “it is a great honour on behalf of OPF, to congratulate our esteemed leader on his well-deserve honour as Doctor of Law.
The group described Basiru as a reservoir of knowledge and embodiment of sacred values.
“There is no doubt that your imprint has witnessed unprecedented growth and development. Your abiding love and burning passion for education remain unparalleled.
“It was in appreciation of your sterling academic performance and contributions to intellectualism that the Osun appointed you as commissioner, where you serve for an unprecedented three rewarding years.
“Your pursuit of knowledge has made you a legend and glittering reference to all youth, attaining great height in private and public service at age 44 was a feat that is unrivaled.
“The greatest gift was when you stood your ground working for the victory of Governor Rauf Aregbersola and President Muhammadu Buhari; especially at the critical moment when Nigerians were earnestly yearning for change.
“In the face of pressure, you shunned all inordinate gains for our common goods. You defied all odds and lived up to the expectations of the masses.
“In spite of your busy practice and development of law, you remain one of the icons of democracy and good governance.
“OPF celebrate and rejoice with you and wish you good health, long life and more successes in life.
