24 Hours After Cabinet Dissolution, Oyebanji Relieves DGs, Advisers Of Duties
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has disengaged all Directors-General and Technical Advisers serving in government agencies, with immediate effect, following the recent dissolution of the State Executive Council.
The affected officials have been directed to submit their handover notes to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The development was announced in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode, on Tuesday.
The latest decision came barely 24 hours after Oyebanji dissolved the State Executive Council, completing the disengagement of political appointees serving in his administration, except for a few officials whose appointments were retained due to the nature of their assignments.
The governor expressed appreciation to the affected Directors-General and Technical Advisers for their support, commitment and contributions to his administration and the development of Ekiti State.
Oyebanji also wished the outgoing officials success in their future endeavours, according to the statement.
The latest move marks another phase in the reorganisation of the governor’s administration following the dissolution of the cabinet.
