Okey Bakassi Denies Divorce Rumours, Says Family Is Intact

Veteran comedian and actor Okey Bakassi has refuted a viral video alleging that his marriage has ended.

The clip was doctored to show the comedian crying out that his wife was asking for a divorce after he spent 15 years taking care of her and their children in the US.

Speaking to his social media page, Okey Bakassi described the viral report as disturbing and disrespectful.

He said he and his wife are still together, adding that they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

He also dismissed claims that his wife lives in Canada or is a nurse, calling the publication false.

He urged the public to report the fake news originator on X for violating the rules.
He insisted that his family is intact and secure.

“It’s so disrespectful and sad that, out of desperation to get views or create viral content, someone will go to the extent of spreading fake news about my very happy family. Please, my family, friends and fans, disregard any story that my wife and I are having issues.

It’s the work of evil, senseless people. Please help me report the originator’s page for this fake news on X (Twitter) for violating the rules. My family is intact and in God’s hands,” he said.
