Since the Osun State commissioner of police, Fimihan Adeoye paraded the 39 year old woman, members of the public especially those living in the Halleluyah Estate, Osogbo neighbourhood of the deceased have been condemning the act which they say has for the umpteenth time defamed womanhood.

With three kids, Barakat 17, Usman 15 and Fatimoh 12, the dream of having an accountant, soldier and an actress promised by their late father if not properly monitored or with divine intervention could be gradually doomed.

“I choked him with the pillow, after having sex and Dolapo stabbed him to death with knife.

“I regret my action. I didn’t know it would feel this way”

Omotayo, who did not not look remourseful disclosed that it was just her desire to kill her late husband on the in question.
She said ” I hired Oladapo Dolapo to help me kill my husband at my own desires.

The suspected killer, Oladapo Dolapo, (24) who was engaged by Omotayo confessed that he personally stabbed the late Salawudeen while Omotayo covered his head with pillow until he died.

He said the suspect (wife) contracted him to punish her husband by killing him, with a promise to give him whatever he requested, if the operation is successful.
Dolapo disclosed that the deceased’s wife, Omotayo enticed him to commit the crime by promising him a befitting accommodation and other largesse.
Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Olafimihan Adeoye disclosed that Engr. Salawudeen Jimoh of number 3, Engr. Adesina Salawu street, Osogbo reported to the police on May 12, 2017 that on the day at 3:00am, two unknown men entered into his brother’s house located at No 11, Adeniran Street, Alleluyah Estate, Osogbo and stabbed him to death with knife while nothing was carted away.
Adeoye further explained that  “a team of police directives and patrol men went to the scene where inscription was found on the Wall of the deceased house “No Price No Pay,  Aye Axe and Forgiveness is a sin” .
The Commissioner of Police stated that “Oladapo Dolapo was first to be arrested in connection with the murder of late Salawudeen Hakeem.”
Adeoye said investigation by the police revealed that Omotayo did not only hired dolapo but actively participated in killing her late husband, Salawudeen.
The only son of the Late Alhaji Hakeem, Usman Salawudeen while fielding questions from our correspondent said they felt so bad about the incident but have taken solace in God.
“We are not happy about what has happened. We have been living here alone since the death our father and the arrest of our Mummy.
“We are begging the government to pardon her so that she can take care of us.
“Our parents have  been living together in peace in recent times before our late father got married to another wife.
“Our dad was a very caring father. He used to take good care of the family. I am very close to both my dad and mum.

A younger brother of the deceased, Mr Idris Babatunde who took newsmen around the premises of the deceased house said his late brother told him he knew his wife was planning to kill him.
Babatunde said late Salawudeen has been having series of arguments.

He added that the wife had made several attempts to kill the man before she finally succeeded.

Babatunde however disclosed that all efforts by the relatives of the deceased to relocate the three children to the family house at Agowande in Osogbo  proved abortive as they insisted that they prefer to stay in their late father’s house.

On Thursday, July 20, An Osogbo Chief magistrates court Remanded Omotayo alongside Dolapo and two others in Ilesa Prisons pending the determination of the suit.

Nigerians are now on the lookout for what would be the end to this pathetic story.

As at the time of this report, the three children, Barakat, Usman and Fatimoh are still in their late father’s house without any of their uncles.

It can be observed at the residence of the late Alhaji AbdulHakeem Salawudeen that there is pain, agony, dejection and lost of affection for their hitherto loved ones on the faces of these young individuals and there are fears that if not properly taken care of and monitored, Barakat, Usman and Fatimoh may become a huge nuisance to the society.
