Davido Backs Adeleke Campaign Spokesman For Osun Reps Seat
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has backed the 2027 House of Representatives bid of human rights lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi.The spokesperson for The Imole Campaign Council, Pelumi Olajengbesi.
Davido expressed his support in an Instagram story on Tuesday, describing Olajengbesi as “My other project” and declaring him a “100% winning ticket.”
Olajengbesi served as the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State and as campaign spokesman for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship election, which the governor won.
Following the election, Davido also took to X to appreciate Olajengbesi for his contribution to the success of the campaign.
Olajengbesi is seeking to represent the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections under the Accord Party.
If elected in 2027, Olajengbesi would challenge the incumbent lawmaker, Wole Oke of the All Progressives Congress, who has represented the constituency in the House of Representatives for 24 years.
