The ongoing political conversations surrounding the recent developments within the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) especially aftermath the Osun APC Central Senatorial Primaries call for caution, maturity and sincere reconciliation among stakeholders of the progressive family.

Without doubt, Senator Fadeyi Ajagunla remains one of the respected political figures in Osun Central Senatorial District and a loyal party man who has invested time, energy and political capital into the growth of the APC.

His contributions to the party structure, mobilisation efforts and grassroots politics since his defection cannot be ignored or dismissed by any fair-minded observer.

However, it has become very necessary to appeal to him, his supporters and political associates not to allow external forces, opposition agents or ambitious individuals exploit the current situation to deepen divisions within the party.

Politics naturally comes with disappointments, negotiations, victories and sacrifices. Every political season produces outcomes that may not satisfy every stakeholder.

Yet, the strength of a political family is not measured by the absence of disagreements, but by its ability to manage differences without destroying collective interests.

Senator Fadeyi Ajagunla has built a reputation over the years as a disciplined and experienced progressive politician. It would therefore be inconsistent with his political pedigree for anyone to weaponise his name against the stability and future of the APC in Osun State.

At this critical time, the progressive family must resist attempts to create unnecessary camps, fuel bitterness or personalise political contests beyond reasonable limits.

The oppositions would naturally seek to benefit from internal misunderstandings within the APC, especially ahead of future political battles in Osun State. Genuine party loyalists must not fall into such traps.

There is enough room within the APC for reconciliation, accommodation and future opportunities for every committed stakeholder. No political ambition should be pursued at the expense of party unity, particularly when the larger objective remains the sustenance of progressive governance and the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Supporters of Senator Fadeyi Ajagunla should therefore remain calm, peaceful and constructive in their engagements.

Resorting to media attacks, inflammatory narratives or attempts to delegitimise other party leaders and candidates will only weaken the APC and hand unnecessary advantages to political opponents.

It is also important to emphasise that supporting Barrister Kunle Adegoke SAN does not amount to disrespecting Senator Fadeyi Ajagunla. Both men are accomplished personalities with valuable contributions to the progressive movement.

The current situation should not be turned into a destructive conflict between loyal party members who ultimately belong to the same political family. This is the time for wisdom, dialogue and strategic unity.

Senator Fadeyi Ajagunla’s political future remains bright, and his experience, influence and grassroots relevance are still valuable assets to the APC.

History will favour leaders and supporters who place party stability, progressive ideology and collective victory above temporary political disappointment.

Osun APC must move forward together stronger, wiser and more united to deliver at the polls ahead.
