UNILESA VC Felicitates Muslims, Calls For Peace, Spiritual Renewal At Eid-el-fitri

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilesa (UNILESA), Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, Ph.D, FCA has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, urging them to sustain the values of devotion, sacrifice, and compassion cultivated during the period.

His message comes as Muslims across Nigeria and the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, marking the end of the month-long fast.

In a goodwill message signed by the Senior Assistant Registrar (Corporate Service and Information Unit), Babatunde Fanawopo, and made available to CityMirrorNews, on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, Professor Asaolu congratulated Muslim brothers and sisters for their dedication, discipline, and spiritual commitment throughout Ramadan.

He noted that the period of fasting and prayer symbolizes not only obedience to Allah but also a time for deep reflection, self-purification, and renewed faith.

The Vice Chancellor expressed hope that the lessons learned during Ramadan would continue to guide the faithful in their daily lives.

He emphasized the importance of sustaining virtues such as humility, generosity, tolerance, and love for one another, describing them as essential ingredients for building a peaceful and progressive society.

Professor Asaolu also offered prayers for continued strength and divine favor for all Muslims, asking that Allah grant them the grace to witness many more Ramadans in good health and prosperity.

He further prayed that all acts of worship, sacrifices, and supplications made during the holy month be accepted and rewarded abundantly.

Highlighting the significance of Eid-el-Fitri, the UNILESA Vice Chancellor described the celebration as a time of joy, unity, and gratitude.

He encouraged adherents to use the occasion to strengthen bonds of friendship and extend kindness to the less privileged, in line with the teachings of Islam.
