All Accord Party Members Are Equal Stakeholders, Says Gov Adeleke

Osun State Governor,Ademola Adeleke has reiterated that all members of Accord Party in the state are equal stakeholders irrespective of the time they joined the party.

He stated this during a courtesy visit by Alhaji Moshood Adeoti and his supporters to him at the Government House in Osogbo, the state capital.

According to the state helmsman, all members of the party in the state should see themselves as members of the same family.

Governor Adeleke, who laced his speech at the event with several songs, stressing the awesomeness of God, admonished both new and old members of the party to remain resolute and never be scared in their resolve to ensure that the current good works and policies embarked by his administration continue.

“This can only be possible if all hands are on deck to see to the success of the party at the August 15 Gubernatorial Poll,” Governor Adeleke further stated.

He also charged members of the Accord Party across the state to engage in door-to-door campaigns with a view to boosting the party’s chances at the forthcoming governorship election.

Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, in his address on the occasion, appreciated the Governor and his team for the honour done his group for the visit, emphasizing that it was by divine arrangement that Governor Adeleke came to be by frustrating all the plans of the enemies.

He also revealed that the visit was the result of numerous private meetings between him and the governor.

On a rumor that had gone viral on the social media in recent times that he joined the governor’s party in his bid to secure a senatorial ticket for himself, debunking the rumor as a figment of the imaginations those who originated it, Alhaji Adeoti maintained that he was not out to usurp anybody’s position, just as he is satisfied being a political mentor to his supporters.

“I wish to state it here again that I am not in the alliance to usurp anybody’s position,” he stressed.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Wale Egbedun expressed his delight on the current development in the state, while informing all in attendance that all the twenty five People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members in the state parliament have resolved to join the governor in the Accord Party.

In their joint address at the event, the duo of Comrade Biodun Agboola and Hon. Kehinde Morenikeji, speaking on behalf of all Alhaji Adeoti’s supporters across the state, urged the governor not to forget members of the group in his efforts to reward loyalty.

The occasion was also used to celebrate Alhaji Adeoti as the day coincided with his birthday, where the governor led all in attendance in congratulatory songs to celebrate the prominent politician.
