WIP Seeks Seyi Tinubu, Noella Foundation’s Support for ‘Peace Revolution’ Initiative Training Of 5 Million Nigerian Youths
The World Institute for Peace (WIP Nigeria) has launched a groundbreaking national program known as the “Peace Revolution,” aimed at training five million young Nigerians across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to become Peace Advocates committed to building a safer and more united nation.
As part of its national appeal for collaboration, the organization has called on Mr. Seyi Tinubu, son of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Co-Founder of the Noella Foundation, to support the project.
The Institute believes that Mr. Tinubu’s involvement, along with the Noella Foundation’s support, would significantly strengthen youth empowerment efforts and contribute to long-term peacebuilding in Nigeria.
“We are not waiting for peace, we are creating it,” said Ambassador Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi, Executive Director of the World Institute for Peace.
“This initiative is not about politics; it is about people power. Our mission is to build a generation that chooses dialogue over violence, unity over hate, and hope over fear. The support and encouragement of visionary leaders such as Mr. Seyi Tinubu and the Noella Foundation among other peace-loving Nigerians will greatly enhance the success of this campaign.”
The Peace Revolution aligns with the Nigerian government’s ongoing efforts to address insecurity and promote sustainable peace across the nation. Through peace education, leadership development, and grassroots engagement, the initiative aims to create a nationwide network of young peace advocates capable of transforming conflict-prone communities through dialogue and social responsibility.
Unlike typical fundraising efforts, WIP Nigeria emphasizes that it is not requesting financial donations, but instead seeks support in the form of tools and materials essential for the success of the program.
Requested items include :
* Educational materials such as books, writing boards, and stationery
* Cameras and laptops for documentation and training
* Vehicles (space buses) and motorcycles for community outreach
* Customized shirts and caps for campaign visibility
By equipping millions of young Nigerians with these tools, WIP Nigeria hopes to foster a new generation that values peace, coexistence, and civic participation.
