WANTED: Lagos Police Declare Man Wanted Over Alleged Homosexual Offenses
Subtle reminder this person is still at a large

Lagos, Nigeria — The Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has declared Opeyemi Adedapo, a 34-year-old male, wanted in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation involving alleged acts of homosexuality.

The offenses, according to a police statement, fall under Section 214 and 217 of the Nigerian Criminal Code, as well as the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act, 2014 — both of which criminalize homosexual conduct in Nigeria.

Adedapo, whose last known address is 8 Tobi Lawal Street, Ikorodu, Lagos State, is described as dark-complexioned, chubby in size, and of average height.

Despite multiple formal invitations for questioning, the suspect has failed to present himself and is believed to be actively evading arrest. Authorities have so far been unable to locate him.

“All efforts to reach Mr. Adedapo have so far proven abortive,” the Police stated.

The Lagos Police Command is appealing to members of the public to assist in the search. Anyone with useful information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the nearest police station immediately.

Officials also issued a stern warning: harboring a wanted person is a criminal offense under Nigerian law. Any individual found aiding or obstructing justice in this matter will be prosecuted accordingly.

“This notice is issued in the interest of justice and public awareness,” the Police emphasized.

Community Cooperation Requested

The Police have reiterated their commitment to upholding justice and maintaining law and order. Citizens are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any sightings or tips related to the suspect’s location.
