Osun 2026: Inaugural Meeting Of the Alubarika Movement Mobilizers Held In Ilesa West

In a significant advancement towards grassroots political mobilization within Ijesaland, the inaugural meeting of the Alubarika Movement mobilizers in Ilesa West Local Government Area convened at the All Progressives Congress (APC) party secretariat in Ilesa on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

The meeting was presided over by Honorable Folarin Fafowora, a distinguished former two-term member of the Osun State House of Assembly, who formerly represented the Ilesa West state constituency. The assembly gathered dedicated party loyalists and grassroots mobilizers who are resolutely committed to promoting the aspirations of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 reelection campaign and supporting Senator Ajibola Basiru as the APC’s preferred candidate for the 2026 governorship election.

The Alubarika Movement mobilizers, serving as a dynamic support arm of the Senator Ajibola Basiru Campaign Organization (SABCO), are dedicated to realizing the gubernatorial ambition of the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, in the upcoming off-cycle Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 8, 2026.

During his address, Honorable Fafowora encouraged the mobilizers to disseminate the SRJ project message across all polling units, streets, wards, and communities within Ijesaland. He emphasized that “Senator Basiru stands out among aspirants due to his extensive legislative and executive experience at both the state and national levels.”

He characterized Senator Basiru as a visionary leader with the competence and political acumen necessary to enhance governance in Osun State.

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and strategic directives, as all attendees reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to the APC and the SRJ project, expressing confidence in the party’s prospects for success in the 2026 gubernatorial election.

Notable party leaders present at the meeting included Honorable Ademola Philips, Honorable Nurudeen Giwa, Honorable Rawlings, Honorable Busuyi Ajilore, Honorable Idris Olaoluwa, Honorable Tijani Alaba, Honorable Layi Fagbolade, former councillors Honorable Saheed Keshinro, Honorable Siji Ibironke, Honorable Morufa Balogun, and Honorable Bose Sarumi, along with other prominent figures within the APC in Ilesa West Local Government Area.
