Alaafin Visits Oluwo Tomorrow
The Alaafin of Oyo, HIM Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, is set to visit the Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi.
The historic visit according to a statement signed by Alli Ibraheem, Chief Press Secretary to Oluwo, is scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday 3rd June, 2025.
Oluwo enjoined well meaning sons and daughters of Iwo to demonstrate the hospitality prowess the town is known for, from the time immemorial in receiving Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Owoade.
The visit will entrench the existing bond between the two ancient cities of Oyo and Iwo.
“On Tuesday 3rd June,2025, the Alaafin of the Oyo Empire, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, will visit the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, in his palace ”
“The historical visit will entrench the existing unity between the two ancient cities of Oyo and Iwo”
“The Royal affinity between the two stools is muscular which the two monarchs are committed to sustain”
“Well meaning sons and daughters of Iwo are enjoined to troop out en- masse to give Oba Owoade a deserving welcome”
