Three Siblings Found Dead In Deep Freezer Laid To Rest Amid Tears
The grief-stricken community of Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, was plunged into mourning on Saturday as the remains of three young siblings, brutally murdered and hidden in a deep freezer, were laid to rest.
The tragic deaths of the siblings-Chikaima (9), Chimziterem (8), and Chimdirim (5) from the Ejezie family had left their family and the entire community in shock.
Their bodies, discovered on February 1 under mysterious circumstances, were buried at their family compound in Uga, Aguata LGA, amid heartbreaking wails from relatives and sympathizers.
During the requiem mass held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cardinal Ebere Okpalaeke, Archbishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, likened the tragedy to the biblical story of Cain and Abel, lamenting how violence has persisted through generations.
He described the slain children as martyrs and prayed for justice to prevail.
The devastating incident continues to spark outrage, with calls for a thorough investigation to unmask those responsible for the gruesome act. (NAN)
