“So despite the fact that the country is hard, the economic policies, the attitude of our leaders, and the ’emi lokan tendency’, we still have to say our democracy is the best and will continue to pursue the right kind of democracy that the founding fathers of democracy fought for.

“But in all, we will continue to agitate for a better democracy and continue to strengthen the Nigeria democracy for it to become what we really want it to be.”

Also speaking, Comrade Waheed Lawal, Chairman of Osun Civil Societies Coalition berated the current economic hardship, calling on the federal government to find lasting solution to the problem.

Lawal who said there is serious hunger and hardship in the land said Government should be proactive in working for the people so that people will leave a better life.

“Nigerians deserve the best, not what we are witnessing today, Tinubu should work for our people, so that our people will have a descent life.

“Nobody could deny of the fact that there is insecurity in the land and it is the duty of the Government to provide security for life and property of its citizens and welfare of the people, are they provide welfare for our people today, the answer is No. Government should brace up to give us the best they should bring the best out of them.

“Abiola said farewell to poverty 31 years ago, Tinubu said renewed hope 2023, are we having renewed hope now, is the hope renewed, the answer is No. If that is the answer we should come out and tell the Government that Nigeria people elected you to work for them to make their life more meaningful and they should work hard to make this happen”.
