Breaking: PDP Secretariat Sealed By Security Operatives

The Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state has been sealed by security agents.

A visit to the office located at Yakubu Gowon Way, Jos by CityMirrorNews indicated that the gate has been locked with security agents present around the facility. The security agents did not allow any entry into the secretariat.

There are two major contending factions laying claim to the party’s leadership in the state with each faction allying itself with the two national factions of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi.

The seal might not be unconnected with the proposed meeting called by a factional Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau state chapter, Hon. Gyang Badung Pam, who is loyal to the Sheriff’s, to hold a reconciliation meeting at the party’s Secretariat in Jos, today.

CityMirrorNews gathered that the meeting was expected to discuss and draw the party’s programme of activities for the upcoming Local Government Council elections in the state.

The other faction has Hon. D. T. Sango as the chairman.

There’s no immediate comment from the two factions as at the time of filing this report.
