Hamzainab College, Osogbo Partners Adekunle Ajasin University On Various Degree Programmes
In a bid to deepen academic excellence, Hamzainab College of Education, Osogbo, Osun State has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.
In a statement made available to journalists in Osogbo, Osun State capital, the founder of the institution, Alhaji Abdulganniy Amusat, said the college signed the MoU with the foremost Nigerian University on operations of degree programme.
He said: On Tuesday 21st of February, 2023 precisely, the Management Team of Hamzainab College of Education assembled at the Vice-Chancellor’s Boardroom, Senate Building of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko together with the Management of the University for signing a Memorandum of Understanding on the operations of a Degree programme of the mother-university, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State.
He noted that their vision is to be world Class College in preparing professional teachers who will provide leadership and exemplary educational and related services to improve the lives of individuals in a changing and complex global society.
“Hamzainab College of Education, located at km 7 Temidire, Owode Ilesha Road, Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria was established in July 2018 to run courses leading to the award of Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).
“The College Operational licensed was secured from both National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) and Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to admit and train prospective teacher for the award of NCE certificate.
“However, the unique contents and ethical responsibilities of both the NCCE and JAMB ushering Hamzainab College of Education with various courses across six (6) different schools: School of Languages, School of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Sciences, School of Vocational and Technical Education and School of Early Childhood Care and Primary Education together with School of Education.”

Conducive learning environment for students. Modern Library facilities with emphasis on E-library and recreation facilities. A well designed ICT centre for Students’ efficiency. Well Equipped and Functional Science Laboratory.
Hostel facilities for all, both male and female. Health care service delivery and 24 hours’ security service

“Hamzainab College of Education: A Degree Awarding Institution”
Hamzainab College of Education was established on July 10, 2018 to run courses leading to the award of Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE). Having produced many NCE graduates for four consecutive sets, there is need to avail the students’ opportunity to have their Degree programme without breaching their education. And besides, it will enable these students to reach the next level in their educational career with the quest for the production of personnel for teacher education programme in Nigeria.
So therefore, the College at the end of the Governing Council meeting on September 2022, the Council unanimously agreed to approach Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State for both the Regular and Part-time/Sandwich Degree programme. According to the minutes of the Council Meeting held on 13th of September 2022 while deliberating on which University to approach for the affiliation project of the College. Members unanimously approved the choice of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State. The Council is of the view that AAUA has been one of the best State Universities in Nigeria.
The information at the Council disposal is that those who had gone into affiliation with the University enjoy mutual understanding with the University.
This is the basis of progress and development of the Degree Programme so far. Finally, on the above note, Hamzainab College of Education, Osogbo was being treated considerably signing an MoU with Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State on 16th of February, 2023.

In so far, the following programmes were approved for the College in Affiliation with AAUA which shall be run on part-time basis;

Social Studies Education B.Sc (Ed.)
Educational Management. B.Ed.
Biology Education, B.Sc (Ed)
Integrated Science Education B.Sc (Ed).
Physics Education, B.Sc (Ed)
Health Education B.Sc (Ed).
Chemistry Education B.Sc (Ed).
Yoruba Education B.A (Ed.).
Religious Studies Education, B.A (Ed.)
English Language Education B.A (Ed).
To this end, the University accepted and approved the request of Hamzainab College of Education Osogbo, Osun State for affiliation.
Hamzainab College of Education now a Degree Study Centre for Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State programme begins officially from May 02nd 2022 for the 2022/2023 Academic session. Admission is now available for interested students/candidates to apply for.
