Easter :Osun Assembly Advocates Virtue of Sacrifice
The Osun State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt Honourable Najeem Salam has felicitated with Christians as it marks the Easter Celebration with a message calling Nigerians to be sacrificial and resolute in the quest for improved economy and better society.
This submission is contained in a statement signed by the Chairman House Committee on Information and Strategy, Honourable Olatunbosun Oyintiloye.
The Assembly which describes the Easter season as one that brings joy, hope and sense of spiritual awakening offers by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind urged residents of Osun state to maintain high sense of hope for better tomorrow and deep sense of piety in the worship of God.
It calls for adoption of the lessons of Easter and virtues of Jesus Christ which centres on love, sacrifice and obedience to divine calling.
The statement urges Nigerians to live a life of purpose, vision and mission in order to add value to development of the country.
The Assembly acknowledges that with oneness of purpose and collective responsibility by all the residents of Oṣun state the lofty desire to build a great state is achievable.
While calling on all stakeholders, politicians and citizens alike to use the occasion to reflect on their contributions to the growth and development of the state and the country at large, it stresses that with fervent prayers and faith in God, the nation will emerge strong from the present economic recession.
Osun Assembly assures that it will deploy its resources and energy on law and Legislative activities that will lead to better lives for all the residents of the state.
