NAOSS Seeks Support Of Osun Governor’s Wife, Titilola On Girl-child Scheme
The Wife of Osun State Governor, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke has advised Students in the state and Nigeria at large to embrace the future with renewed vigour and determination through entrepreneurship, stressing that it is a major solution to unemployment among the youths in Nigeria.
Mrs Adeleke gave the advice in Osogbo while receiving a delegation of students under the umbrella of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) on a courtesy call to her office.
Mrs Adeleke explained that entrepreneurship allows individuals to create their own jobs and businesses and in the process drive the economic growth and development of any given area or society.
She told the students that by starting and growing their own businesses, economic prospects would be achieved that will in turn contribute to the development of their communities and the broader economy.
According to Mrs Adeleke, “so many students believe in working in organization where they will be paid salaries at the end of every month after graduation from higher institutions, whereas with entrepreneurship, one can actually become an employer of labour” said Mrs Adeleke.
Earlier in his speech, the President ,National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) Mr Adeoye Kazeem commended the efforts of Mrs Titilola Adeleke for placing the welfare and holistic development of children and youth in the state on a front burner
The students leader noted that the purpose of the visit was to collaborate with the office of the Wife of Osun state Governor on Girl- Child education,during which, no fewer than 1500 students within Osun State across all the local governments,LCDAs and Area offices who are secondary school students in various schools would be participating.
In Her reaction to the request of the Association, Mrs Adeleke pledged her readiness to collaborate and support the students body in order to actualize their goals and ambitions .
