Ondo Carpenters/Furniture Makers Union Endorse Akeredolu For Second Term

Ahead of the 2020 governorship election in Ondo state, the Association of Carpenters and Furniture Makers Progressive Union in the state, have unanimously endorsed the State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for a second term in office.

Chairman of the association, Mr. Adekunle Obolo, while speaking with journalists at the weekend in Akure, Ondo state capital, hinged their endorsement to his giant strides in industrialising the state.

Obolo, who spoke on behalf of others at the presentation of returning certificate to the new executive members that will pilot the affairs of the union for four years, said, “The state has witnessed uncommon turn-around since Akeredolu assumption in office.

According to Obolo, “Governor Akeredolu has changed the face of Ondo state, moving it from a civil service state to an industrial hub, thereby creating jobs for people in the state.

He however urged citizens of the state to support the governor to enable him sustain the laudable projects.

Earlier, in his acceptance speech, Obolo said, he was ready to face the tasks ahead of him, thereby charged members of the union to join hands with his led executive members for them to move the union forward.

“I give kudos to the electoral committee set-up to conduct this election, you people have done excellent work with no any violence before, during and after the election.

“In view of this, I’m ready to face the challenges, for me to take this union from state to national level”, he said.

Similarly, the outgoing caretaker chairman, Mr. Ojo Folorunso thanked members of the union particularly, electoral committee that conducted the election for their spirit of sportsmanship on the election day.

Folorunso however called on members of the union to give adequate support to the newly executive members in strengthening the union in the state.
