2019 Edition Of Osun Youth Ambassadors Awards Holds Tomorrow In Osogbo

The Fourth edition of the annual Osun Youth Ambassadors Awards, designed to celebrate young people who have carved niches for themselves in their respective chosen career, will hold on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Aurora Events Centre, Osogbo, Osun state.

The awards programme is being organized by an organisation, Youth Reformers Initiative (YRI).

According to a statement issued by the Convener of YRI, Aminat Ajibola, the award event will kick off at exactly 12noon.

She said no fewer than 18 indigenes of Osun state that have been nominated and certified worthy to be honoured, will be receiving varying awards for their outstanding performance in their chosen fields of endeavours.

Ajibola said the nominees, by popular nomination, have contributed meaningfully to the growth and development of the their immediate communities.

“The award is designed to reward individuals that have shaped the whole world, Nigeria and Osun in particular especially in the following areas of human endeavours: Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Health, Gender Advocacy, Private,Youth Advocacy Sector, Education, Sports, Force, Faith, Entertainment Environment, Journalism, International Partnership, Peace Building, Science and Technology.

Dignitaries expected at the event include the Deputy Governor of Osun state, Mr. Benedict Alabi, Members of the National Assembly, members of the state House of Assembly, traditional rulers like His Imperial Majesty, The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi (TELU 1), His Royal Majesty, The Olowu of Kuta, Oba AbdulHammed Adekunle Makama (Tegbosun 3), His Royal Majesty, OBA ADEKUNLE ASAMU OYEYEMI. (TEWOGBADE 1) The Oloba Of Oba-Ile.

The guest speaker at the programme is Prof. Samson Ojoawo.

Other special guests expected at the event are government functionaries, business entrepreneurs, community and religious leaders and members of the fourth estate of the realm.
