A Chieftain of African Democratic Congress(ADC), Engineer Abiola Olaniyan has called on stakeholders in the Osun Governorship election of last week to replicate the peace that characterized the election in the thursday rerun execrcise in some units in the state.
Olaniyan, the Ibadan based politician and an aspirant aspirant to the National Assembly on the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC) made the call after obtaining his form and expression of interest at the party’s secretariat in Ibadan during the week.
The Politician aspiring to represent the Oyo Central Senatorial district also commended the residents of Oyo state for embracing ADC within its short period of existence in the state and expressed optimism that it would form the next government in the state.
Olaniyan advised the stake holders in Osun rerun election to be peaceful, orderly and eschew any form of violence both on thursday and future elections adding that nothing positive could come from violence
The aspirant said that he was impressed by the foresight of the leaderdhip of ADC in the state and the nationsl level who realised the need for a new political party because of the bad antecedent of the ruling party in the state and at the Federal level adding that those leaders demonstrated high sense of patriotism
“We cannot but commend those behind the formation of this party .They realised that the country which they have served meritoriously is drifting. No security could be guaranteed, unemployment is the order of the day and the economy is in shambles.Their observations were noted by the right thinking Nigerians in general and residents of this state in particular.
“This party came within a short period of time and is already a household name everywhere you go in the state. We will not be left out. We are a solid part of this mass movement or if you like the 2019 revolution that ADC will engender in the state,Olaniyan declared
He told all those who are genuinely committed to democracy, justice and fair play to come over to ADC adding “in this party, you are sure of justce and fairplay unlike in the ruling party where candidates are to be imposed on the party members.
Olaniyan disclosed that ADC is worried about how the ruling party in the state is treating education with levity and particularly wondered why lecturers in state owned tertiary institutions are being treated as slaves and beggars in terms of their salaries and welfare.
The aspirant appealed to all electorate in the state to ensure that they collect their voters cards in time stressing that that was the only way to install future government of their choice.
