He made the donation yesterday at the local government secretariat, Owode Ede.

Uthman said the gesture was to complement Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s efforts in transforming indigent people’s lives.

The Council boss expressed confidence in the fact that the newly procured transformer would boost the socio-economic activities of the Council particularly the benefitting area.

“This is a dream that comes true for the People of Awere community after witnessed  many  years of darkness in the community.

” I was motivated by the people’s plight. They have been left in darkness for years.

“I have made a promise to the community that I will do everything within my power to improve standard of living and this is a tip of the iceberg”, he stressed.

Commending Governor Aregbesola for his initiative at bringing  government closer to the people particularly at the grassroots, the Council boss said “we were able to achieve this historical achievement  because we have the required support from the man of the people and the architect of new Osun, Ogbeni Aregbesola.”
