2019: Former Ondo Commissioner Vows To Secure Victory For PDP Candidates

A former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Ondo state, Mr Bamiduro Dada has been appointed to lead the campaign of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Candidate for the House of Representatives in Akoko Southwest/Southeast Federal Constituency, Hon Olutade Martins-Abiloye, aka Irawo in the forthcoming general elections.

Dada will also serve as the Director General (DG) of the Irawo 2019 Campaign Organization, Hon. Ajisafe Ade is the Deputy DG Constituency 1,  Adamo Amusa is the Deputy DG for Constituency 2, while Hon. Smart Adewale will serve as the Vice Deputy DG.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Campaign Team over the weekend at Oka-Akoko, Headquarters of Akoko Southwest local government area, various leaders of the PDP from the two local government areas including Elders, women’s leaders, youths’ leaders described the choice of Mr Dada as a clear indication that the party’s victory is certain, considering his pedigree in political history of the federal constituency and ondo state at large as a grassroots mobilizer.

The leaders who represented various wards urged the Irawo 2019 Campaign Committee to actualise the election of Hon Martins-Abiloye and the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

In a remark, the PDP Reps candidate, Hon Martins-Abiloye explained that  members and leaders of the Campaign Team were carefully selected in consultations with leadership and elders of the party and described the DG and his Deputies as men of integrity and credibility that could lead PDP to victory in the federal constituency comes February 2019.

Hon Martins-Abiloye promised to give purposeful and quality representation to the people of Akoko southwest and Akoko southeast local government areas at the National Assembly if elected in the 2019 polls.

The House of Reps Hopeful, said with his antecedents as a philanthropist, promoter of qualitative education with annual disbursement of scholarship to indigent students of the areas for about 20years and his experience as a successful businessman, he would deliver on his campaign promises if given the mandate by the electorate.

In an acceptance speech, the Director General of Irawo Campaign Committee, Mr Bamiduro Dada who expressed appreciation to the PDP leaders and the Candidate for the confidence reposed in him and his team, vowed to use his political prowess and experience to mobilise and secure victory for the party and its candidates.

Dada said they would not betray the trust of the party and the Candidate and assured the leadership of the party in the federal constituency of their total commitment towards winning for the party for rapid development of the areas.

The event was attended by PDP leaders including Mr. Anthony Babatope who is the PDP Chairman of Akoko South East local government and his counterpart from Akoko south west council area, Mr Layo.
