CCC Rehoboth FC Wins 18th Edition Of Rasool Under-18 Football Competition

The finals of the 18th edition of Rasool Cup Under-18 Football Competition took place on Thursday with CCC Rehoboth FC from Akinyele local government clinching the trophy of the competition after defeating Living Proof FC. from Ibadan North East by 3-2
The finals of the competition which took place at the Westley College, Elekuro, Ibadan football pitch, is part of the annual events lined up to commemorate the annual Ishrat International Convention of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide.
De Unique FC representing Ibadan North East Local Government won the third place after defeating Vital FC of Oluyole Local Government with 2 goals to 1.
In his address at the event, the Founder, Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke urged youths as well as adults to engage in regular sporting activities for healthy living..
He emphasized that sporting activities within the regulated control of the trainers gives health and wealth to enhance the wellness status need of participants.
While speaking on sporting activities and wellness, Prof. Olagoke said, “sports or physical activities provides benefits such as assisting in weight loss or control, better blood circulation, stronger immunity, muscle training, stronger bones, stronger minds among others.”
Among other benefits of sporting and physical activities as highlighted by Prof. Sabit are, increase flexibility and movement and improves joint mobility, improves co-ordination, movement and balance, strengthens bones, muscle and joints, lower risk of developing joint problem such as arthritis, it help to stabilize blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, as well help to maintain weight by reducing body fat.
In his remarks, the chairman of the technical Committee of Oyo State Football Association, Mr. John Kayode commended Prof. Sabit Olagoke for organizing Rasool Cup Under-18 Football competition, which he said has over the years, discovered talents at the grassroots level .
No fewer than 24 football teams selected across all the local government areas of Ibadan participated in this year’s competition.
