Osun SWAN To Host FA Chairmanship Aspirants In Debate Friday

Ahead of the June 13, 2023 election of the Osun State Football Association, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Osun State chapter organizes a debate for the three contestants into the chairmanship position of the State’s Football Association.

A statement by the Chairman, Osun SWAN, Timothy Agbor and the Secretary Tajudeen Amodu discloses that the debate scheduled for Friday, June 9, 2023 will hold at the hall of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Osun State Council along Iwo/Ibadan road, Osogbo at 3.30pm

The contestants are the incumbent, Chief Rasaq Ishola Mustapha popularly known as Ajiroba Ooni who is seeking re-election.

He faces stiff competition from the Chairman Boluwaduro Local Government Football Council, Sola Fanawopo as well as a member of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Osun State Chapter, Olafiranye Olayiwola.

The debate will afford all contestants opportunity to present their plans and programmes aimed at reviving the lost glory of football in Osun State to sports stakeholders, if elected.

Expected at the debate include football stakeholders, congress members, football coaches, club owners, players union, Nigeria Referee Association, sports journalists among others.
