Osun SWAN Felicitates With Oyetola, Alabi On Victory At Supreme Court
Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Osun state chapter has felicitated with the Governor of the state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola on his victory at the Supreme Court on Friday.
The congratulatory message made available and signed by the Chairman and Secretary of SWAN, Messrs Adeyemi Aboderin and Timothy Agbor respectively, contained good wishes of all the members of the association to Governor Oyetola.
The association also felicitated with its Patron, the Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Alabi on the victory.
The statement also expressed happiness at the reaction of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke to Oyetola’s victory and called on all residents in the state to support Governor Oyetola to develop the state.
SWAN commended the peaceful coexistence exhibited by contending political parties in the state saying that their attitudes would go a long way in assisting the administration of Oyetola to actualise socio-economic transformation of Osun.
While calling on the SWAN’s grand patron to invest on sports in the state, the sports writers emphasised the need for Osun state government to carry SWAN as it regards policies and programmes on sporting activities in the state.
“We heartily congratulate our amiable Grand Patron, Governor Gboyega Oyetola and our Patron, Deputy Governor Gboyega Alabi on their victory at the Supreme Court. This has paved way for sustainable growth for Nigeria’s nascent democracy.
“As members of the fourth estate of the realm in charge of sports reportage and promotion, we use this medium to call on all political parties, stakeholders and the entire citizens of the state to join hands with Governor Oyetola to move the state forward to a glorious level,” the statement reads.
