Osun: AREMAC President, Olowoporoku Calls For Professionalism In Estate Agency Practice
-As Association Holds End Of The Year Party
-Inaugurates New Executives

The National President of Association of Real Estate Manager and Consultant (AREMAC), Comrade Abiodun Olowoporoku, has called for more professionalism in Nigeria to uphold integrity of the profession.
Olowoporoku, Chief Executive Officer, Olowoporoku Estate Management Consultant, made the call during the End of the Year Party held in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
He added that application of professional standards would make estate manager and consultants association more relevant to the society.
According to him, the association is working assiduously to fish out bad eggs among the members, saying there won’t be any room for quacks in the association.
Olowoporoku urged estate managers to strive to uphold the integrity of the profession by exhibiting professionalism, trust, honesty and commitment in their transactions with the public.
He expressed worry over the spate of quacks, saying it’s quite unfortunate that the profession had been dominated by quacks who had rendered the profession as a dubious and unreliable business.
According to him, it behoves on operators in the profession to display professionalism in their service delivery and flush out quacks who are damaging the image of the profession.
“We must not allow quacks to takeover estate managers. Be honest in your dealings with the consuming public and ensure that you are dully registered and certified before practicing.
Appreciating the Governor of the Osun State, Ademola Adeleke for his support to the association, AREMAC president urged the governor to come to their aid especially on the mission of the association to have its permanent Secretariat in the state.
“This annual event has become a culture of the association while its purpose to have a great moment together after 12 months of hard work.
The association has grown steadily in the last five years of existence and the growth has impacted membership strength while a lot of non physical infrastructure such as Administrative structure, financial structure, recruitment and disciplinary structure, policy and a lot has been put in place .
“Also , association is working tirelessly on acquisition of landed property.
“There is need for creation of good relationship interface between the estate managers and the clients. Let’s strive to restore confidence to the profession”.
He, however vowed to give priority to the welfare of the members of the association just as he pledged to do everything within his reach to work towards the upliftment of the association.
CityMirrorNews reports that the new executives were inaugurated and they would be paddling the canoe of the association for the next five years.
The new executives according to the Chairman, Electoral Committee, Pastor Alabi are; Comrade Abiodun Olowoporoku, Vice President Alhaji Azeez Adebisi, Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Adewumi, Elder Ibitola Olajomi, Financial Secretary, Treasurer Alao Olusegun A, Prince Adegoke Omokehinde, Assistance General Secretary.
Others are; Welfare officer …Faniran Oluwaponmil, Assistance Organising Officer, Ajeju Arowosegbe Tolulope Omotola, Organising Secretary…Aliu Adio, General Secretary, Ademola Sarafadeen Adedeji, ex-officio 1, Ogunlade Temitayo Esther, Exofficio 2 Hammed Olasunkanmi Imam among others.
