2023: Engr David Ayodele Asalu Meets PDP Executives, Declares Ambition To Contest For House Of Representatives

Engineer David Ayodele Asalu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday hosted the executives of the party across the 11 wards Ejigbo Local Governments.

The meeting which held at the instance of Engr Ayodele Asalu, reviewed the progress of the party in the local government and preparations towards the upcoming governorship election.

Engr Asalu who appreciated the officials of the party for their steadfastness and commitment, charged them to maintain their supports towards the aspiration of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

“Let me, first, appreciate you all for the work you are doing for this party,” he said, adding that “Because of your dedication and service, our party in this local government has seen a steady growth and more than ever, have a bigger chance at victory in polls.”

He charged party officials to sustain membership drive as the party heads into the governorship poll and 2023 general election, noting that every efforts should be spared to defeat APC in the local government.

The highlight of the meeting was when Engr Asalu declared interest in the House of Representatives seat for the Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo federal constituency. Engr Asalu who lost the PDP ticket to Hon Bamidele Salam for the 2019 election, said his intention was borne out of passion for service.

Expressing gratitude to the party officials for their supports in the 2019 primary, saying he’s counting on similar supports as he seek the PDP ticket and the general poll.

“In 2019, your supports and those of others who shared our vision for impactful representation was superb and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he said. “Going into 2023, I want to declare before you here that I will be seeking the House of Representatives seat again, and as such, need your usual supports.”
