2021 Aagba Day Holds Saturday As Community Honours Distinguished Indigenes

The 2021 Aagba Day Celebration and Presentation of awards to deserving and worthy indigenes of the town has been slated to hold on Saturday 20th November, 2021 at the Methodist Primary School, Aagba.
According to a release jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary,Planning Committee of the 2021 Aagba Day Celebration, Mr. Obafemi Okediya and Mr. Bayo Olayinka on behalf of the Aagba Development Council’s President, Sir Raymond Olagunju and the Alaagba of Aagba land, Oba Rufus Ogunwole kujoosin I, many dignitaries from Nigeria and diaspora have been invited to grace the event which shall witness series of cultural oriented programmes.
The release disclosed that the programme would also witness a fund raising for developmental projects in Aagba land.
Also, Aagba Awards would be conferred on some illustrious indigenes of the town who had at one time or the other contributed positively to the development of the Aagba Community.
The Awards, according to the release would be conferred on 11 prominent indegenes of the town in three categories: Aagba Lifetime Achievement Award; Aagba Legacy Award and Aagba Merit Award.
An electricity project donated by the Likeminds Club of Aagba shall also be commissioned at the event.
Also featuring on the day will be a display of the rich cultural heritage of the ancient town such as Aro musical orchestra.
The release added that this year’s Aagba Day would be chaired by Ile Osolo and Ile Inurin.
The Planing Committee enjoined all sons, daughters and friends of the town to come home and grace the occasion and donate generously towards the development of Aagba land.
