Osun Teachers Urged To Be Diligent, Committed To Duties
The Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT Osun State Wing yesterday called on the entire teachers in the state to be diligent and committed to their duties at all time.
The State Chairman of the Union, Comrade Wakeel Amudah made this call while fielding questions from Newsmen in Osogbo the state capital.
Amudah, who stated the importance for the teachers to be dedicated and committed to their duties as a way of complimenting government’s efforts on education sectors urged them to excel in their duties as the future of the entire students was in their hands.
The Osun NUT boss also enjoined parents to ensure their wards had the required educational materials for learning to get the expected outcome.
Amudah, who strongly appealed to the state government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola to urgently employ more teachers to the schools in order to address the issue of shortage of teachers in the classrooms reiterated teachers efforts in the state towards putting efforts to impart positive qualitative education to students.
The Osun NUT Chairman, commended Governor Oyetola’s efforts towards payment of workers salary in the state as at when due while urging him not to relent on teachers welfare.
According to him, “Am calling on the teachers to reciprocate the gesture by being diligent and committed in discharging their day to day activities and responsibilities.
“Am also admonishing the teachers to do more in the areas of research in order to impact more on our young ones, they should be very incisive and analytical” Amudah added.
