Housing Deficit: Benson Completes 10 Buildings, Set To Deliver More Homes
The Chairman of Orolu local government council, Prince Adekunle Benson has said his administration has successfully completed 10 low cost housing units of 2 bedroom family apartment in the council area.
The Council boss made this known recently in Ifon Osun during a stakeholders meeting with party leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area.
Benson opined that the low cost housing project is neccessary as part of the efforts of his administration to find the lasting solution to the problems of housing deficit affecting people of the area especially, low income earners and increase the internal generated revenue of the council.
He said the 10 low cost housing units have been completed and ready for commissioning, adding that his administration will start the second phase of the project without delay.
The council boss said that the demand for shelter had continue to increase due to population growth and daily influx of people into the area.
According to him, “no doubt that shelter ranks second to food as a necessity to human being and one of the responsibilities of government”.
He stressed that provision of affordable houses is one of the priorities of this administration, purposely to make life meaningful and comfortable for the people of the area.
Other projects that have been completed and ready for commissioning includes; Ifon Osun Judicial Division of High Court Of Justice Building, eletrification projects, borehole projects and others.
