Olukoyi Condemns Killing Of LASU Student By Suspected Ritualist Prophet

The Olukoyi of Ikoyi land in Isokan South Local Council Development Area of Osun State, Oba Yisau Bantale Oyetunji Otunla, Kodaolu 1, has condemned in totality the recent killing of 400 level student of Lagos State University, Miss Favour Daley-Oladele in his domain.

Oba Otunla described it as unfortunate, barbaric, demonizing and unexpected development since ascending the throne of his forefathers in 1988.

This condemnation was made known by the Olukoyi in a Press Release he personally issued and signed by him and the Olukoyi in Council and made available to Journalists on Sunday in Osogbo.

The release said, the ugly development has not only exposed the Ikoyi-Ile in bad light but has placed the hitherto respected town and ancient Community to ridicule embarrassment.

Oba Otunla as well as the Olukoyi in Council and the entire good people of the ancient Community said, “We dissociate ourselves from the incident completely as it never in the attitudes and characters of the Community to harbor evil and evil doers while all the suspects are not an indigene of Ikoyi land.

” Ikoyi-Ile has no history or record of hostility as the residents of the Community are known for peace, tranquility, love, hardworking, harmony and hospitality while the Community will not allow some unscrupulous element to tarnish the age long reputation of the town”.

“The entire Ikoyi-Ile Community wants Police to conduct thorough investigation in the mystery and circumstances surrounding the ugly incident and bring the perpetrators Bola Babatunde Adeeko and her son Owolabi together with their white garment Church Cleric, Segun Philips to justice.

“It is imperative at this juncture for Media organizations to verify their news stories before going to Press on the incident especially on the area that concern the town as the Community will not feel comfortable with any portrayal of its history and reputation” the release stated.

The release however added that, Ikoyi-Ile remains one of the peaceful communities in the state and it is open for business for patriotic Nigerians that are ready to do legitimate work as the community will never serve as abode for people with criminal tendency.
