2020: Ileri Oluwa Raises Osun Citizens’ Hope
Ileri Oluwa Campaign Organisation, a group founded by Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has revealed plans by his administration to come up with more initiatives in all sectors of the economy that will impact positively on citizens and make year 2020 better for them.
The group, in its New Year message, said what is required is for all stakeholders to work with the government and assist it in implementation of its development agenda.
A statement signed by Ileri Oluwa Campaign Organisation’s Director-General, Honourable Ajibola Famurewa, onbehalf of the group, noted significant impacts made by the government in the outgoing year, saying Oyetola has shifted focus to achieving more in the year 2020.
The statement maintained that successes recorded by Oyetola administration in sectors like health, security, mining, infrastructure, education, job creation, tourism and culture, agriculture and general economic development, though were significant, it then added that these would be improved upon with addition of more well thought out initiatives.
It however harped on the need for all stakeholders, particularly those in government service to show more commitment and assist Governor Oyetola to realise his dream for the state.
It added that the recently held Economic Summit has given a clear indication of how Oyetola plans to turnaround fortune of the state, saying the results of the summit would manifest more in the new year.
The statement partly reads, “While we congratulate the Governor, the government and the people of Osun for the successes recorded in the development of the state in 2019, it must be noted that the administration has more to do to meet up with the set agenda.
“Governor Oyetola has from beginning, set agenda for himself and his government to make lives meaningful for the people and this has been the guiding principle of the administration.
“No doubt, with the way this administration is going, year 2020 promises to be a fulfilling, developmental and dream-realising year in line with the electioneering promises of our people’s Govenor.
“To achieve these, all hands must be on deck by those put in one position or the other to show more commitment and service diligently in the interest of all.
“Also, the citizenry and other stakeholders must be committed to perform their civic responsibilities like payment of taxes, proper use of public properties and such others that would make the government efforts enduring”, Famurewa stressed.
Congratulating the people of the state for witnessing year 2020, the Ileri Oluwa Campaign Organisation urged them to live in peace and harmony since no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphere of chaos.
