Appointment In Oyo: Makinde Allays Fear Of Iseyin People
By Olusakin Babalola,Ibadan.
Governor Oluseyi Makinde of Oyo state has allayed the fear of the entire people of Iseyin zone in the State assuring that no part of the state would be marginalised in the scheme of things particularly in political appointment.
His position contained in a Press release issued by Mr.Taiwo Adisa the Chief Press Secretary ,was a response to the position of Abedi Frontliners Iseyin (AFI,) who complained that the zone was sidelined in the appointment of commissioners by the Governor.
Indigenes of the town in a release issued by the spokesman of AFI ,Mr.Segun Fasasi complained that people from the zone were excluded from the recent appointment of commissioners.
He pointed out that the trend was not only discriminatory but a travesty of justice because the people were not rewarded for their sacrifice during the election.
The Spokesman said that the announcement of the list of commissioners was a shock to the Iseyin people adding that the injustice should be redressed.
Mr.Fasasi urged the Governor to review the appointment in order to justify the confidence reposed in the PDP administration.
However,Mr.Adisa assured that the issue would be realistically looked into
emphasising that the appointments were a work in progress.
He reiterated the policy of this Government to operate an open door policy rooted in transparency and accountability.
Adisa further stated that those who have not been reached would have their own share in the appointment.
