Osun NURTW Chairmanship Election: Ikoyi Indigenes Declare Support For Ajagun

Towards the forthcoming election of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Osun State Council, the entire people of Ikoyi community in Isokan South Local Council Development Area of the state have declared their complete support to the Chairmanship Candidate of Ikoyi branch of the union, Taofeek Ajagun.

This was contained in a Press Statement issued by the Olukoyi of Ikoyi town, Oba Yisau Bantale Otunla, Kodaolu 1 on Wednesday and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement, “I Oba Yisau Otunla who is the Olukoyi of Ikoyi town and all the traditional Chiefs of Olukoyi in Council as well as members of the NURTW Ikoyi branch have unanimously resolved to pick Taofeek Ajagun as the branch Chairman of the union in the area”

The statement condemned in totality the rumour that there is a leadership crisis among members of Ikoyi branch of the NURTW, saying all members of the union were in good term and in one voice.

The statement described Taofeek Ajagun as a good union leader, amiable, loving, God fearing and workaholic who will pilot the affairs of the NURTW Ikoyi branch to the greater height if finally becomes the new Chairman come next election that is approaching.

The Olukoyi further assured the leadership of the NURTW at the state level that candidature of Taofeek Ajagun as the next Chairman of the branch would work towards the upliftment and betterment of the union in all ramifications.

The Olukoyi however admonished all members of the union to remain as one and shun any act that may lead to clash before, during and after the union election.
