Osun Council Boss Gives Back To Widows, Aged People….. Distributes Cloths, Foodstuffs, Cash
In a bid at performing social and economic responsibilities to the citizenry, The Chairman of Olorunda Local Government, State Of Osun, Hon. Femi Munirudeen Anisu, has distributed Foodstuffs, Clothes, and Cash to some selected widows and aged people across the local government area.
The programme which took place in the Multipurpose Hall of the council’s secretariat, played host to politicians, community leaders and people from all walks of life.
While speaking at the occasion, the Chairman lauded the efforts of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for creating enabling environment for them to give back to the people at the grassroot.
He said, apart from the programme, his administration is also taking giant strides on projects that will impact meaningfully on the lives of Olorunda people.
Hon. Anisu, who congratulated the beneficiaries, promised the programme will be a continuous one. He then charged the people to continue to support the government.
The distribution of the Foodstuffs, Clothes and Cash was performed by the Chairman who was assisted by his counterpart from Osogbo Local Government, Hon. Musa Adegoke, who also graced the occasion.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Prophetess Funke Ojoge, lauded the gesture of the Chairman. She said, all the beneficiaries will forever be grateful to the Chairman for putting smiles on their faces. She then pledged the unalloyed support of the beneficiaries to his administration.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman appreciated all his cabinet members for cooperating with him in achieving this feat. The Chairman also appreciated the the career officers in the council, ably led by the Council Manager, Bar. Kikelomo Oyebade, all Heads Of Departments and the entire members of staff for their support and cooperation.
