Osun LG/LCDA’s Leaders Elect Owoade As Leader
The Association of Leaders of Local Government Parliamentaty Councils in Osun state has elected Hon Ademola Owoade representing Irewole Northeast LCDA as the Forum Chairman.
At the transition ceremony which held on Monday, the Local government parliamentarians chose Owoade as their new leader as a result of his “antecedents and moral standard.”
The election also produced Hon. Taiwo Aderemi from Ife Central LG as Vice Chairman, Hon. Abiodun Durodola from Orolu LG; Secretary General, Hon. Badmus Jeleel, Osogbo LG: Treasurer and Hon. Israel, Ayedire LG, the new PRO of the forum.
According to information, the new EXCO have a mandate to harmonise the LG Executives and the Legislative arms but not relegating and hesitating to implement the spirit and letters of the Guidelines as a working tools released for the practice of Parliamentary system by the State Assembly in Osun.
The new helmsman and his lieutenants are also saddled with proposing a legislative retreats for the 389 parliamentarians at the local levels for much understanding towards the system regards separation of powers and abuse of powers in the System.
Owoade takes over from Hon Abiodun Ayantoye from Boripe Local Government.
