Osun Health Workers Hail Oyetola For Reviving Sector
The health practitioners in Osun state have commended Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for transforming the health sector in the state.
The state health practitioners also acknowledged the commitment of the government to revitalising the hospitals across the state.
The health workers under the aegis of Medical and Dental Consultant Association of Nigeria, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH), Osogbo branch, gave the commendation during a visit to the Governor on Wednesday at his office
Chairman of the association, Dr. Rasak Akindele, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, applauded the administration of Governor Oyetola for prioritising the welfare of health workers.
Dr. Akindele was accompanied by the Secretary of the association, Dr Adeniyi Fasanu, the Treasurer, Dr Olufemi Ala, the immediate past Chairman, Prof. Segun Adebomi among others
The association’s Chairman who described Oyetola as a lover of health practitioners commended the government for restoring and sustaining the payment of full salaries to workers.
He lauded the efforts of the state in bring to the people the dividends of democracy with the effect in all aspects of human endeavours.
Dr. Akindele said the administration had shown a high sense of commitment to refining the health sector for greater productivity and development.
He added: “You have been a listening father whose passion for human and capital development cannot be over-emphasized.
“We have seen your zeal and commitment tailored to ensure an improved standard of living for all workers particularly health practitioners.
“We are proud to have you as our Governor. Your administration has started on a good footing and we are proud to identify with myriads of achievements recorded by your government so far.
“We appreciate you for maintaining regular salary payrment to all categories of workers in the state as this gesture had geared up our morale to render our services diligently and professionally.
” I want to assure that all bodies to in the hospital will guarantee industrial harmony to support your administration’s vision and mission at taking the same to topmost heights.
“Our association has been so collaborative and co-operative with successive administrations in the state and we are ever ready to extend similar gesture to your administration to record all round success”.
He assured the association’s commitment to continuously partner the government towards building a healthy state.
Dr. Akindele appealed to the Governor to support the LAUTECH Teaching hospital so as to actualise its dream of rendering quality health services to the people.
Governor Oyetola commended the leadership of the association for maintaining the tempo of quality healthcare delivery.
He sought for cordial relationship between the government and the association as his administration is looking for a strike-free tenure.
“I commend you for your activities at raising the bar of quality healthcare service in the state particularly on your commitment to maintaining the standard which LAUTECH Teaching Hospital is known for.
“We will continue to support you within the limit of the available resources to bring to our people best healthcare services”, Oyetola added
