Gov. Umo Eno Shuns Own Party, Says Tinubu Will Remain President Till 2031

Umo Eno, who was elected as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, has backed President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to complete his two terms of eight years.
Apparently not interested in his party regaining power at the centre in 2027, Eno noted that he is with President Tinubu.
The governor disclosed this at the flag-off of the Akwa Ibom section of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project on Tuesday afternoon.
He said: “Let me end by assuring that our president (Tinubu), our people-loving president, who will complete 8 years because we are going to stand by him, my leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not allow Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway to turn to another East-West Road. He is a father and a promise keeper.”
Eno also prayed for President Tinubu by asking God to give him a good health to complete the work that he has started.
The governor added that he will continue to cooperate with the Tinubu’s administration.
