Osun LG Election: APC Chieftain Supports Party, Candidates with N10m

Ahead of local government elections in Osun State, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Dr Desmond Oludare Ojumu, has supported the party and those angling for the chairmanship and the councillorship positions in the Ijesa North Federal Constituency with about N10 million.

Similarly, Ojumu commended the Marine and Blue Economy Minister, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, for providing leadership and financial support to all APC candidates in the forthcoming council’s polls in the state.

Accordingly, beneficiaries of the financial support provided by Ojumu, a former senatorial aspirant in Osun East Senatorial District, include the two chairmanship candidates of Oriade and Obokun Local Governments, the vice chairmen,the 22 councillorship candidates and the APC party structures in the two council areas.

In a Press Release issued and made available to journalists, Ojumu said he was propelled by the urge to see the party back to the winning streaks at all levels in the state.

“The victory of our great party, All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming local government election and other subsequent ones in the state, should be paramount to all of us. As such, concrete efforts must be made to fortify it more than ever before so as to help reposition the party to its known winning ways, especially at all levels in the state” he enjoined

The Ijebu-Jesa born APC chieftain while congratulating the party candidates, urged them to see the financial support he gave them as a gesture meant to boost their morale and to enable them meet up with requisite conditions for participation in the elections slated for February, 2025.

“In the interim,one appreciates the support of the leader of our great party in the state who is also the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola. His gesture is thoughtful and exemplary; typical of a selfless leader” the former aspirant maintained

Ojumu also commended the leadership of the party in the state led by Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, for the peaceful, transparent, remarkable and seamless handling of the whole electioneering processes aimed at ensuring that the candidates triumph at the polls.

Meanwhile,he has assured that he would not relent in contributing to the progress and development of the party, promising to continue to assist in rejigging the party in Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Osun East Senatorial District and the entire state in order to ensure that the party records landslide victory in coming elections.
