Osun 2022: APC Youth Leaders Declare Support For Governor Oyetola’s Second Term Bid

Following his unprecedented achievements within the space of twenty one months, youth leaders within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) across the three senatorial districts in Osun state have passed vote of confidence and declared their support for Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s second term bid.

Led by the Special Adviser to the Governror on Youths and Sports, Hon Adegboyega Lateef Aremo, the youths who wore customised face caps with the photograph and inscription of Oyetola 4+4=8 took the decision based of Oyetola’s achievements in the last one and half year, adding that this must be sustained beyond 2022.

Speaking at a press conference held at the APC party Secretariat, Osogbo, the Special Adviser to the Governror on Youths and Sports, Hon Aremo said that Governror Oyetola is working tirelessly to transform the state, urging him to continue with his people-oriented and transformational projects.

Aremo who said that Oyetola 4+4 agender has come to stay and shall be realizable with the help of Almighty God and the support of the people of Osun State said Governror Oyetola has performed superbly well and deserves second term in office so as to be able to complete his developmental programmes he has for the state.

According to the SA, the youth leaders across the three senatorial districts declared their support for the Oyetola’s administration as a result of his general acceptability by the people of Osun over his numerous achievements and his response to challenges for adequate solutions.

He said “the purpose of the meeting was to set the record straight and set mechanism in motion for the fulfilment of the enormous task ahead the present administration in the state to built-up to the campaign for 2022.

“We gathered here today under the umbrella of the Osun APC Youth leaders across the three senatorial districts in the state from the largest political party in Africa, All Progressives Congress (APC) to unanimously and progressively set the record straight in the interest of our party and the entire state of Osun for the benefit of all.

“Our coming here is to inform the people that there is work to be done in the State, and the work must be done within a well defined time frame. That is why we have come to declare support for Governor Oyetola for second term.

Aremo also responded to the news of zoning the 2022 guber ticket to the West Senatorial District of the state, describing the source of the news as faceless, while the claims were also unconstitutional.

The Osogbo born grassroots politician also stated the achievements of the current administration within the West Senatorial District in less than two years.

“We must also set the record straight over the recent advertorial packaged to cause division in the state by a faceless group named Osun Network for Equity and Social Justice, clamouring for power shift to Osun West Senatorial District in 2022. The agitation by the faceless group is ridiculous, baseless, unconstitutional and illogical planed to distract the workaholic governor.

“It gladdens our hearts to inform the world that His Excellency, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, has magnanimously attended to, face-lifted and in some areas, built health facilities, especially PHCs across all over 100 electoral wards in Osun West District, establishment of the Federal College of Education, Iwo and the non-career Ambassador recently announced all within the West Senatorial District.

“We hereby declare total support for Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration in the state as a result of the general acceptability by the people of Osun over his numerous achievements and responses to challenges for adequate solutions.

“The entire APC youths pass a vote of confidence on the Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola to lead Osun till 2026, for his foresight, exemplary leadership, and administrative skills.

While speaking, the State Youth leader of the party, Mr Ayo Tewogbade reaffirmed oneness of the party leadership in Osun, while the unity within the party can not be truncated by any force.

Tewogbade urged those willingly joined hands for the continuity agenda not to be diffracted by the known and unknown forces, adding that Governor Oyetola will continue to transform the state to an enviable height.

He said, “Under the current leadership of our party, the All Progressive Congress is one, and there is no division whatsoever within the party. This is a call to all of us to work for the greater good of the State, and not be swayed by those whose ambitions are motivated by their personal gains.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Governor Oyetola on Rural and Electrification, Engr Mumini Olabamiji gave kudos to the Aremo Adelabu and the entire Osun APC youths for coming out at this time for continuity, adding that there is nothing like zoning within the APC.

“I gave kudos to the organizer of this timely programme of continuity, we must acknowledge that the governor, who is performing creditably in the district, deserves the support of the district for a second term which is currently receiving until some attention seekers hide under a faceless platform to make noise. We must face the reality of the unconstitutionality of the zoning within our great party,” Olabamiji said.

“Oyetola 4+4 agenda has come to stay and it shall be realizable with the help of Almighty God and the support of the people of the State of Osun. IleriOluwa for second term till 2026 is nonnegotiable”, he said.
