2019: Ogunbiyi Takes PDP Campaign To Osun Villages
Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun State has extended the campaign of the party to villages and suburbs in Ayedire local government area of the state.
Ogunbiyi, Saturday, took campaign of PDP presidential candidate, H.E Atiku Abubakar and other candidates of the party to villages in Oke-Osun. This is coming after his tour of Iwo federal constituency.
He implored residents of Mamu-Abimbola, Osunwoyin, Onigbangban, Ile-iran, Alatise and other villages in Oke-Osun to throw their weight behind PDP and her candidates, without any exception, assuring that the dividend of their support would not elude them when the time to reap it comes.
Ogunbiyi appealed to the thrilled electorates to resist any attempt to buy or steal their votes. He also enlightened them to use hind finger, not thumb while casting their votes.
In his address, the state Treasurer of PDP, Hon. Adesoye Oyetunde faulted the ruling All Progressive Congress and her presidential candidate, Mr Muhammadu Buhari, emphasising that the president is already weak and no longer fit to lead the country.
“Don’t sell your votes. The ruling party has clearly shown that it lacks direction. Get into the field, campaign, canvas and send them away. Your vote is your voice. Use it to reject suffering and hardship. Let’s all work and join hands to reposition Nigeria. Vote for PDP and all our candidates, ” another stalwart of the party, chief Olaoye Oyelayo added.
The campaign was also extended to Baale of Mamu-Abimbola village, Chief Liadi Adebayo Tairu and Chief Sawiyu Alao of Ileiran village. They showered encomium on the party chieftains and prayed for the success of PDP candidates.
Also part of the extended campaign are: Hon. Solomon Ogunbiyi, PDP House of Assembly candidate in Ayedire local government, Alh. Wasiu Akinwon, the chairman of the party in the local government, and host of other leaders including Engr. Dele Akintola, Chief Saka Lawal, Hon. Oye Ishola and Mr Lamidi Afisu.
