By Jide Afolabi, Jos
Mammoth crowd welcomed Buhari to Rwang Pam Township stadium in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Saturday and overwhelmed security agents when President Muhammadu Buhari arrived the stadium for his campaign rally.
CityMirrorNews can authoritatively report that agents of different security services used hand tasers and knock outs to disperse the crowd but all failed.
The President arrived the stadium in company of Governor Simon Bako Lalong. Both of them and other dignitaries could not alight from the vehicle until 20 minutes later when some armed soldiers temporarily pushed the crowd backwards.
The massive crowd ran over the two podiums chanting “sai Baba” while others climbed the roof top of vehicles in the presidential entourage in an attempt to have a glimpse of Mr President.
The crowd had entered the security barrier thereby taking the programme over an hour after the President has taken his seat. The programme later commenced after the stages were cleared.
