I Can’t Step Down For Anyone – Oyeduntan
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) senatorial candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, Otunba Lai Oyeduntan has debunked a rumour making the rounds that he had stepped down for a candidate of a political party in the zone.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed personally by him and made available to newsman in Osogbo, the state capital.
According to the senatorial candidate, his immediate reaction to the rumour has become necessary in view of the anxiety being expressed by his teeming supporters.
“My initial reaction to the rumour of my purported stepping down for anyone was to wave it aside and forge ahead with my campaign intineries, but on seen the level of anxiety it has generated among my teeming supporters, I decided to come out openly to disclaim such rumour.
“I want to use this opportunity to assure everyone of my supporters that I still remain the candidate to beat in the fast-approaching National Assembly election.
“I am not in the race for the fun of it but determined to win,”Oyeduntan stressed.
He therefore assured his supporters not to be discouraged or dissuaded by the rumour but rather become more determined in ensuring his success in the senatorial election.
“The rumour exists only in the filthy imagination of the masterminds.
“I however want to admonish the rumour masterminds to find more rewarding ventures to embark upon, instead of spreading fake news among the people,” he stated further.
