40 Percent Of My Appointments Will Go To Youths- Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has assured the people of the country that he would create enabling environment for women and teeming youths across the 36 states of federation, if voted in the February 16 presidential election.

Atiku gave the assurance on Tuesday at a campaign rally in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.

Emphasizing the importance of youths in nation’s building, the former Vice President promised youths 40 per cent appointments to his cabinet if elected to the youths.

He said 30 percent of his appointment would also go to women whom he said they play very prominent roles in the development of the country.

He maintained that the most important of his administration if elected would be the transformation and restructuring of the country.

According to Atiku, the APC led federal government has failed to deliver its electoral promises.

“They promised you job, have they given you? They promised security have they given you? They have nothing to offer ”

While urging people on the need to defend their votes , the PDP presidential candidate urged Nigerians not to allow their vote to be stolen saying the report at their disposal indicated that APC has connived with the INEC to collect all the uncollected PVC to APC governors.

Speaking, the National Chairman of PDP, Mr Uche Secondus lamented the hardship Nigerians are experiencing in the last three and half years, saying that Nigerians have made costly mistake by voting President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government into power.

Secondus said that Nigeria needs a agile and healthy president who understand the pains and sufferings of the citizen, and that will quickly lift the citizens from abject poverty.

He however urger the electoral umpire and security agents to maintain high level of neutrality, saying they should not work in connivance with the ruling All Progressives Congress to pacify the wish of the masses.

“I want to warn INEC and Security agents to be neutral. The new IG , Adamu Muhammad should clean the mess left behind by the former IG.”

“Police is an institution to secure the life of the people not a section of the people or cabal. ”

He however urged people of Osun to come en masses and cast their vote for PDP, saying their stolen mandate would soon be retrieved.

“We cannot afford to experience another four years of suffering under this APC led government.

The National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus urged Nigerians to rise up and have a collective reasoning in restructuring of the country as to make it a better place for all.

Also speaking, former Governor of Osun, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former Governor of Ekiti, Mr Ayodele Fayose, Mrs Titi Atiku among other speaker canvased vote for Atiku, they said Atiku was on the mission to rescue Nigeria.
