Why Governor Ademola Adeleke Deserves Re-election, By Muyiwa Aina
The administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke has, within a short period, recorded visible strides across key sectors that directly impact the lives of the people.
In the health sector, the government has rehabilitated over 200 primary healthcare centres across the state, equipped them with solar power and improved facilities, while expanding health insurance coverage and providing free surgical services to over 70,000 beneficiaries. This shows a clear commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare for all.
In education, the administration has upgraded over 120 schools, restored bursary payments, improved teachers’ welfare, and moved Osun from 33rd to 7th position in national examination rankings. Investments in learning materials and student health programmes further prove that the future of Osun children is being secured.
On infrastructure, over 300km of roads have been constructed and rehabilitated across the state, improving transportation, boosting commerce, and easing daily life for citizens.
In the area of youth engagement and empowerment, thousands of young people have been engaged through programmes like the Imole Youth Corps and entrepreneurship initiatives, providing jobs, skills, and opportunities for innovation.
For workers’ welfare, the administration has cleared billions in salary and pension arrears, restored promotions, and improved morale within the civil service, rebuilding trust in governance.
These achievements shows that the Governor deserves another 4 years to complete the Imole mandate.
