Opinion: Osun APC Buried Below The Sea Level As Osun Accord Party Inaugurated Gov’ship Campaign Committee By Hon Sola Oni

It is no gain saying that the Osun State APC has been buried below the sea level going by the composition of the governorship campaign committee set up by the Osun State Chapter of Accord party and machinery of State Chapter of People’s Democratic Party; the Superiority displayed in the composition of the Accord party Governorship Campaign Committee is based on fact and figures achieved and established over a long period of time in Nigeria politics.

Personality attractions including qualifications and political records of the Accord Campaign committee give no room for any comparison with opposition campaign committee; as done before. We of PDP and Accord have immense political capacity in terms of organizational strategy and planning that can displace APC structural Arsenal and guarantee us moon slide and landslide Victory in the August 15 Governorship election.

The APC has never any won free and fair election in Osun State— the governship election tribunal had to cancel almost One third of Gov. Olagusoye Oyinlola’s votes to pave way for Governor Aregbesola in 2010. Governor Ademola Adeleke also defeated Governor Oyetola but INEC subjected PDP Governorship mandate to extra-ordinary run-off election in 2018—First of it’s such in Nigeria, in terms of brutalization, gross manipulation and monetization.

Governor Ademola Adeleke once again defeated APC governship candidate, and became Governor in 2022. The numerous achievements of governor Ademola Adeleke and huge investments in public welfare can never be penetrated by the APC political instrument neither can the opposition withstand our campaign efforts.

I give credit to our good people of Osun State for their steadfastness and for walking over fifty thousand naira inducements— Osun Governship not for sale. I also, congratulate our campaign team managers and salute our field officers across the state for their courage as well as daily sacrifices of time and working energy.

This piece is dedicated to the Late Asiwaju of Ifetedo, Chief Moses Ayanromade Oyeleye Ayanbeku aka Aworawo, a second republic member of National Assembly and a signatory to the memorandum for the creation of Osun State, as presented by the late Senator Ayoola Adeleke, to the then acting governor of Oyo State, Chief Sunday Michael Afolabi— a two term federal minster of republic of Nigeria.
Hon. Ayanbeku life celebration and state wide burial ceremony took place at ifetedo last weekend. May his great soul rest in peace.
